Why do this? PointTracker gives you 120Hz tracking (smooth as TrackIR) for $15 total. v201 handles PointTracker better than any other free software.

Alternate path: Some users prefer the "Portable" version (no installation required). v201 does not have an official portable version, but you can install it on one PC and copy the C:\Program Files (x86)\FaceTrackNoIR folder to a USB drive.

Open the software using the desktop shortcut or by searching for it in the Start menu. Always run it as an administrator to avoid permission conflicts with games.

Unstable tracking is often caused by incorrect "Focal Length / Sensor Width" ( F/W ) settings. You can calculate this by placing a flat object of known width (like a piece of cardboard) in front of the camera until it fills the entire frame.

Avoid sitting directly in front of a bright window. Ensure your face is evenly lit from the front.

Choose the installation directory. The default path ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Abisko\FaceTrackNoIR_v201 ) is highly recommended to avoid directory path errors in secondary plugins. Some users find success by checking in the protocol settings

For standard webcam tracking without markers, select or Neuralnet tracker (if available in your plugin pack).

Ensure FaceTrackNoIR is running before you launch your game. Check the game's in-game control settings to verify that "TrackIR", "FreeTrack", or "External Head Tracking" is enabled.

Click the button on the main panel. This panel determines how far your in-game camera rotates when you move your real head.

If your game (like IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad) isn't picking up the tracking, go to your install folder and try renaming NPClient64.dll to NPClient.dll . This is a known fix for certain 64-bit titles.
