Perhaps the most radical shift in the last decade is the rise of the individual creator. Platforms like Substack, Patreon, Twitch, and OnlyFans have enabled millions to monetize their own without a studio or network.
Search terms that combine a creator's pseudonym with a standard top-level domain (like ".com") are often used by fans attempting to locate a creator's official website or Linktree hub.

Gone are the days of three-channel TV. Today, entertainment is everywhere, all at once. According to trends tracked by Semrush , giants like Netflix , Spotify , and Disney+ dominate our digital habits, turning passive viewers into active community members. Why Entertainment Still Matters
The entertainment industry has undergone significant changes in recent years, driven by advances in technology and shifts in consumer behavior. The rise of streaming services, social media, and online platforms has transformed the way we consume entertainment content, from movies and TV shows to music and video games.
Large-scale aggregation networks and "tube" sites revolutionized accessibility. While these platforms offer massive libraries of free, ad-supported content, they also changed the revenue generation model for performers, shifting the focus toward high-volume traffic and premium subscription tiers. The Creator Economy Perhaps the most radical shift in the last
The impact of streaming services on the entertainment industry is evident in the numbers:
Secure payment processors handling premium content distribution.
Audiences are increasingly enthusiastic about consuming non-English and localized content. The global phenomenon of South Korean media—often referred to as the Hallyu wave—is a prime example. The historic Oscar wins for the film Parasite , the record-breaking global viewership of the Netflix series Squid Game , and the chart-topping dominance of K-pop groups like BTS demonstrate that language is no longer a barrier to mainstream popularity. : Media acts as a bridge for cultural understanding , allowing us to see life through different lenses.
Now, I need to write a comprehensive article. The structure could be:
Address the shift where "arts and culture" are now often referred to as "content," specifically media created for asymmetric platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
The transition from physical DVDs to online streaming completely altered the financial structure of adult entertainment. Today, content consumption is dominated by two primary models: MindGeek and Tube Sites

Hello Thom
Serenity System and later Mensys owned eComStation and had an OEM agreement with IBM.
Arca Noae has the ownership of ArcaOS and signed a different OEM agreement with IBM. Both products (ArcaOS and eComStation) are not related in terms of legal relationship with IBM as far as I know.
For what it had been talked informally at events like Warpstock, neither Mensys or Arca Noae had access to OS/2 source code from IBM. They had access to the normal IBM products of that time that provided some source code for drivers like the IBM Device Driver Kit.
The agreements with IBM are confidential between the companies, but what Arca Noae had told us, is that they have permission from IBM to change the binaries of some OS/2 components, like the kernel, in case of being needed. The level of detail or any exceptions to this are unknown to the public because of the private agreements.
But there is also not rule against fully replacing official IBM binaries of the OS with custom made alternatives, there was not a limitation on the OS/2 days and it was not a limitation with eComStation on it’s days.

4gb max ram WITH PAE! nah sorry a few frames would that ra mu like crazy. i am better off using 64x_hauku, linux or BSD.
> a few frames would that ra mu like crazy
I am not sure what you were trying to say. I can’t untangle that.
This is a 32-bit OS that aside from a few of its own 32-bit binaries mainly runs 16-bit DOS and Win16 ones.
There are a few Linux ports, but they are mostly CLI tools (e.g. `yum`). They don’t need much RAM either.
4GB is a lot. I reviewed ArcaOS and lack of RAM was not a problem.
Saying that, I’d love in-kernel PAE support for lots of apps with 2GB each. That would probably do everything I ever needed.
